My Nieces I Love to Pieces!

My two nieces Lexie and Kaitlyn are in town this summer. They have been living in Oregon with their mom, but come to visit while they are off track and for the summer with their dad (my brother) who just lives a few houses down the street from me. Their mom is moving to Nevada this summer while they are here so they get to fly home to a new home in a new town and go to a new school. I decided it would be fun to have them come and make some name signs for their rooms so that they will have something they picked out when they get home. Their signs turned out to be adorable! And we had so much fun making them together!

Wicked Cool Sign!!!

My step-sister Jenae asked me to make a sign for her friend as a thankyou for letting her stay while she visited with some of her old friends back east. She said that this friend is always having band friends of her husband come and stay and always has girls that need help or temporary housing stay with them as well. I think the sign turned out great and I really hope Jenae's friend likes it! Thanks Jenae for giving me a challange...just a little bit different from my everyday decor items!

Thankyou Teachers!

Hannah and Enoch have both had wonderful teachers this year at school. So today being their last day of school, I wanted to send a thankyou gift to each of them. I ended up deciding that my 8x8 boards make a great gift and personalized a quote for each of them.

Enoch's teacher Mrs. Campbell had given me this quote earlier in the year so hers reads: All that I have seen teaches me to trust the creator for all I have not seen -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hannah's teacher has been teaching 2nd grade at the same school for about 20 years so I thought she might like this quote: Education: what remains after you have forgotten all that you have been taught.

We are so excited for summer to be here and hope for great teachers again next year!

We (my kids and hubby and I) love Kya so much!! We love her mom Becky too! They lives with us until Kya was two and then we babysat while Becky worked for another 4 years. We are happy that Becky got married to Casey this last November and they moved to go to school, but we miss them so much! We wish Kya a Happy 7th Birthday! Cya soon!
